My Photo

An obsession, have to have it, definitely want to live there! A gal who spends way too many lunch hours at Anthropologie--browsing, making my wish list, inspired, charmed, teased, of course I have to leave with something.. anything! Ahhh..now I can go back to work, I've had my fix.

A little of this and a little of that

(EDIT: just updated photo with the completed piece, I added embroidery around the edges and the lamp cord. Looks much better! Just added to the shop)

time flys in December doesn't it? With all the shopping, parties, crafting, working....before you know it, I've neglected ye ole blog. : )

Here's a little illustration in the works...it's not finished. I think the inspiration is pretty obvious, as if I haven't talked about it enough.

so are you done shopping? Any great ANTHRO deals, online or instore?

2007 Lunchbox Auction

For the 2007 Lunchbox Auction, 100+ iconic celebrities from the entertainment, fashion, art, music, literary and culinary worlds remind us that food matters by creating personalized lunchbox art for online auction. The auction benefits two hunger-relief organizations — Food Bank For New York City and The Lunchbox Fund of South Africa. Each lunchbox is signed and numbered and no two lunchboxes are alike.

Anthropologie has designed their own lunchbox, which is up for bid, right here. It's covered in hand-woven cashmere. So nice!

The bidding will end on December 21st.

In the news: ART

As read here...........
ART OF SOME IMPORT Those who spent the past weekend in Miami squandering their sobriety and inhibitions but somehow failing to return home with an under-the-radar piece of art, don't fret: A gorgeous original work can still be yours, thanks to Anthropologie's new initiative, "It's Beautiful Here." The store's buyers traveled throughout South Africa for a year and returned home with handcrafted furniture, ceramics, and sculpture from local artists, currently on display in a gallery within the New York flagship. The items range from the socially conscious (Magpie studio's stunning chandelier made of found objects, including hundreds of bottle caps) to the sentimental (Louise Gelderblom's ceramic plate that serve as a "travel journal"). Artist Heath Nash also created the exhibit's namesake work, a wire text piece from a series called "Other People's Rubbish." Anthropologie will sell a limited number of the pieces in the coming weeks and will continue to work long-term with the South African art community to bring unique works to the States. The display will be open to the public through February 7. to see more."It's Beautiful Here," through February 7 at Anthropologie, 50 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY, 212-246-0386

Vibrant dishtowels.......

I picked up this beauty today............ it's the Joona deer dishtowel.

I love the little appliqued deer and the colors, it's perfect. Oh and another of the previously mentioned pillows! Because the first one was a gift, remember.

Hello Wednesday...

Hi … I am here………. December is always crazy busy, right? I’m still gift shopping…browsing…. Visiting and such.
So what have you bought lately? Any Anthro? Tell me about your great finds. Love to hear it.

I’ve purposely stayed away from Anthropologie this past week because I really need to buy gifts for others and not myself.

But I am loving these Chantilly slips, so pretty right?
It's silk, made by Anne Pinkerton and comes in Terracotta or pewter for $68.
