An obsession, have to have it, definitely want to live there! A gal who spends way too many lunch hours at Anthropologie--browsing, making my wish list, inspired, charmed, teased, of course I have to leave with something.. anything! Ahhh..now I can go back to work, I've had my fix.

Seriously in need of this outfit...

I want this Sagebrush pullover top... I love that it imitates the classic white ruffled top but it's COTTON, great 3/4 length sleeves and the ribbon neck tie just tops it off....SO NICE! $128.

When I saw a glimpse of that skirt above I had to find it..
Oh my god....this skirt is to die for!!! Maybe ANTHROPOLOGIE will send me a birthday present next month. $298.

Anthropologie: One Red Dot

A very cool pop-up book for children of all ages...$19.95
'David Carter's pop-up teaches counting while challenging readers to find the red dot that's hidden in each flipping, flapping, whirling, or swinging sculpture.'

Anthropologie: Pillow Talk

The fool loves ANTHROPOLOGIE

Motley Fool that is. Read more about it in their article 'Against the Grain in Retail.'
They talk about retail companies who had the largest declines relative to their 52-week-high stock prices. See why Anthro is still one of their top picks, despite being on the list.

If you don't know the Motley Fool, their motto is to Educate, Amuse and enrich, they are a great financial education company!

I will be getting my new laptop for home very soon so I've been keeping my eye open for a cool bag to carry it in.
This is the greenberries laptop tote..
'Orla Kiely's bag is boldly graphic on the outside and brilliantly businesslike within. Two main compartments contain a multitude of pockets, key fobs, and even a velcro pouch for your laptop.' $368.

pure love

. rock-dove-boots..... simply beautiful. $388.

Of course I would be crazy paranoid about how to keep them looking so IVORY.
Probably not possible.

Kashmir paisley throw

'Dream of far-off places wrapped in a saffron wool throw embellished with yarn garlands and pompoms.' $148.

Loosen up my buttons baby...

Sorry but that song is stuck in my head... so that's what I thought of when I saw these buttons.
But I do love the details! I think the inside of a garment should look good too! So I love to see pretty linings and great stitching inside or maybe a bright splash of color.

I am soo in need of a fall shopping spree... I need to freshen up my wardrobe and add some new pieces. Heck... I just want to shop.

Loyal companion silkscreen

'A greyhound in pop-art hues heels on hand woven paper. Encased in a silver-foiled wood frame.' $498. Anthropologie.

let's be different

This bukhara circle tote is probably not your everyday bag.
Described as 'A whorl of colorful yarn embroidery radiates over wool. Ringed in a halo of thick fringe. '
It's so unique and crafty... it almost reminds me of an old watering bottle. $198.

Monday kick-off

feria heels...
Here are some funky soles by Francesca Giobbi.
On Anthropologie.com, I zoomed in on the shoe, because I love to see the details and saw this inscribed on the inner side of the shoe- 'God is Faithful'. How strange to find inside a shoe, right?
What's that about?

Blizzards and blustery winds and are no match for these ingenious merino mittens with detachable arm warmers. $78.00

ART Anthro style

This piece is called 40 wpm transfer-art.
Did you know the top row of your keyboard spells TYPEWRITER?
How did 34 years of my life go by without my knowing this piece of information!!
I used to win typing contests in highschool, I should know that. You know what, my memory is pretty ummm... bad, so maybe I did know it and just forgot. Which is worse?

Stila at ANTHROPOLOGIE?

What? where have I been...how did I miss that one?
Stila summer and fall lip glaze sets.

What to wear to a wedding...........

My brother's wedding is coming in 2 weeks.... I can't believe it.. WOW!!!
And I have No idea what I am wearing. How crazy is that!

I kind of like this piano bar dress.....it's a strapless silk by Tracy Reese.

or what about the fine lines dress...

ooh la la....leather

I'm really a sucker for anything that's a buttery leather just like this golden nugget duffel.
This gem is from Giorgio Brato. It's so me. It looks already worn in...nice leather handles tied to brass rings. I just know it would feel so comfy sitting on my shoulder. I love soft bags that conform to your body. Yum.

($528.)

Monday, September 11th, 2006

Today, as you know, is September 11th. It feels like a somber day. I somehow feel that this day shouldn't be an ordinary day where people go about like any other day. I'm not saying it should be an official Holiday, because I think people will just take it as a day to relax. But I'm thinking more along the lines of this: if I were an employer I would give my people the opportunity to give back in some way by volunteering for the day or at least a half day at some charitable organization. I think it would be a good way to do something for someone else in rememberance of those we lost on 9-11.

I know that most of us will be sitting at work as I will. But I will try to observe the moments of silence they have planned this morning.

15% off upholstered furniture-ANTHROPOLOGIE

This is the milo chesterfield, it looks like a great piece of art to me. Almost too pretty to sit on.
I must admit I don't have room that this would fit in with such a bold print, but I'm still in love.
$3398.

Sunday pickings

I can't believe I haven't posted all week. Anyway...there's so much going on.
I think I may be starting my own blog...it's so hard not to post about other amazing finds I see that are not Anthro or tell you about an amazing new home catalog coming out, and on and on. But we'll see, I'll let ya know.
I'm about to watch the finale of Design Star and I can hardly wait.

But don't worry, my love for Anthropologie is still going strong....
The lascaux bangle is simply beautiful. It's handmade in Italy. Ancient images re-imagined with modern techniques. Natural cow horn is laser cut with a textured rendering of ponies and flowers. $598.00
