My Photo

An obsession, have to have it, definitely want to live there! A gal who spends way too many lunch hours at Anthropologie--browsing, making my wish list, inspired, charmed, teased, of course I have to leave with something.. anything! Ahhh..now I can go back to work, I've had my fix.

spell it in playdoh

Today I was my daughter's playfriend, since no friends were outside yet. We opened one of her new toys she received on her Bday, which included lots of playdoh.
I do love playdoh....but I knew I had enough when I started spelling out 'Craving Anthropologie'.
Time to move on to something else, Mommy is tired of play doh. Let's go shopping!

all that is ANTHROPOLOGIE...

Are you ready for a serious Anthropologie visual feast for the eyes and ears? You must stop what you are doing and go see the Annual report for UrbanOutfitters Inc. I know you think I'm crazy for sending you there. But it's the most un-likely of Annual reports you've ever seen...the beginning part anyway. Don't even read further, just go.

Still reading, huh. Well prepare to be mesmerized with beautiful images, a visual display of all that makes up anthropologie. Listen to some of the buyers describe who they think the 'Anthropologie' woman is, and about the creation of some of the catalogs. All the while you get to listen to an eclectic blend of music, that fits perfectly with it all.

Let me know what you think? Even though I know you will love it.

Trying on THE dress.......

Ok, so I underestimated how hard it is to take pictures of yourself. I couldn't get a full shot of the dress. Too much exposure of messy, messy room. Too embarrassed, delete, delete! Oh well, still LOVE the dress...

ANTHROPOLOGIE: Do's and Don'ts

So here's the deal,
if you are wearing your brand new lily pad dress..............

PLEASE do not sit on your Marimekko sofa..........unless your husband is looking for you to do some dreadful task! Then by all means lie down very still and don't make a peep. : )

I like big But...tons

ha.
I think these buttons are the cutest things. This is the 'stepping stone skirt', and I would wear this in a heart beat. The pale pink color is great, but I'm not so crazy about crinkled linen.

Let's play dress up

Painting: Tanya Nevin

I found Tanya Nevin on flickr. Needless to say, I'm a fan. You can also find her on Arts Montana.com. "Tanya's recent work is influenced by a journey to Africa and dealing with the complicated issue of American comfort and the reality of Third world countries."

Happy Monday!!!

Although I never feel it's a happy Monday, I try to trick myself into it. And after my cup of Dunkin donuts French Vanilla coffee, I almost start to feel human.
It's going to be a busy week, preparing for my daughter's 4th B-day party this Saturday.

Lots of shopping and fun things to do. I started making some of these fabulous paper pom pom balls to hang up. They look amazing!!!

I'll share more later!!

ANTHROPOLOGIE: colores bracelet

I like big bracelets. The more charms, the better. This one has great color and that vintage feel. I wonder if its sturdy...I'm a little rough on my bracelets. I don't know why, it's not like I do manual labor or anything!
Happy Friday everyone......Have a good weekend, we are expecting a beautiful Sunny weekend here on the Eastcoast!!

Anthro craving has been satisfied

I'm so happy with my buy today. I finally gave in a purchased the first edition dress that I have been oogling over for weeks now. I can't remember paying so much for a dress that will be for casual wear......but I talked myself into it because I have been so good lately, with my spending. (according to me)
And there were only 2 left, one was my size...it was just meant to be!!! Wouldn't you say!!!

I haven't tried it on yet....because that would of wasted precious time for more shopping.

So the craving has been quenched for today anyway. And I'm a happy girl who must get back to work!!

UPDATE: The dress fits perfectly!!! So perfect, I love it!

the craving is strong today

So I'm heading to Anthro at lunch today. This 'window shopping' ain't cutting it!!! I need some Anthro goodness in my very own hands. Wish me luck......

ANTHROPOLOGIE: Music

Amy Winehouse's: Back to Black was playing as I strolled thru ANTHROPOLOGIE the other day.
Not that you asked. Just thought I'd share. I found her months ago through a blog, Brocante Home. I think that's where I first found her and I loved her. The first song I heard was 'Rehab'. And at the time there wasn't all this buzz about her over here like there is now. I'm happy to see it!

Anthropologie: Sylists at your service?

So I took a lunchtime stroll to Anthro today. It was really nice since it's been a couple weeks, so everything was new! When I first walked in they had a note taped to the wall saying to ask about the new Sylist Service they offer.
So it turns out you can make an appointment and get assistance from your very own Stylist. The girl didn't give me many more details. But I'm guessing its like a personal shopper who helps make you over or assists in Anthro-fying you. Ok ..I'm making up words. But you get it.
I know its a free service, but I want to get more details. I wonder if they offer it at all the shops, I would guess Yes.

I bought some more Fabric letters for my daughter's room for $1.95 each.....how great is that!!!
I also picked up this amazing utility apron, that has a gazillion pockets which I will use when I paint!
I think that's all I got today. Although, I picked up many more along the way, I put them down before I got to the register. I have to show some restraint!
