An obsession, have to have it, definitely want to live there! A gal who spends way too many lunch hours at Anthropologie--browsing, making my wish list, inspired, charmed, teased, of course I have to leave with something.. anything! Ahhh..now I can go back to work, I've had my fix.

ANTHROPOLOGIE: Music

Amy Winehouse's: Back to Black was playing as I strolled thru ANTHROPOLOGIE the other day.
Not that you asked. Just thought I'd share. I found her months ago through a blog, Brocante Home. I think that's where I first found her and I loved her. The first song I heard was 'Rehab'. And at the time there wasn't all this buzz about her over here like there is now. I'm happy to see it!

I love your page. I, too, love the store. I walked through the Orlando one this past weekend and heard "Christmastime" by the Smashing Pumpkins. Such a great song.

I was in a store in Dallas and I heard a song I really liked with the lyrics "everytime I look into your eyes" but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone happen to know what song this is and who sings it?

I love this website! You should update it more often! I am OBSESSED with anthropologie and predict they will soon tap into this demand for their store music -perhaps we could use this website as a sharing tool to discover the songs we hear there - I live in Cedar Rapids IA currently (originally a Florida girl) and there's no Anthro in the whole STATE! This past weekendd I was able to go to Chicago and got my fix there, (and went WAY overboard on $$$), I swear, is there an anthroplogie addicts anonymous group we should initiate??

I came by the site also looking for Anthro songs! But one trick that I try to use is writing down the lyric when I hear it (or texting it to myself) and then googling it (comma lyric).. usually works!

Here's a good one I heard on Black Friday: You're A Wolf by Sea Wolf. Available on iTunes.

I stumbled on here looking for a collection of their store music, too.

There is great iphone application called Shazam (I believe other phones have a similar app too) and whenever I shop in Anthro, I am shazamming away..I've discovered so many great artists in all different styles--I highly recommend it!

My husband says when I enter Anthro, I glaze over and can no longer hear him...anyone else?

I also think that they should make a playlist like a live stream of a radio station or something along those lines, i heard a song about a dj in the store and sang it for the rest of the day!

Went to Anthropology this past Friday, the music was phenomenal when I ask they did not know who sang this famous song (different take), I do wish they would offer the CD, just adds to the pleasures of life. It would be very advantageous to the co. making people feel good, and keeping them in mind.

I hear a really awesome song but unfortunately I couldn't really understand the lyrics :( From what I can remember is that the singer was female and had a soft, slightly breathy voice and was backed by a drum beat - the kind that makes that unique 'boing' sound. I have been going nuts trying to find it! Can anyone help?
